Artwork: Sonitus
Medium: Digital video / audiovisual performance art (single-channel digital video, stereo sound)
Dimensions: Variable screening/projection setup, 16:9 video format
Description: “Sŏnĭtŭs” is an audiovisual performance exploring reality’s filter. A performer slowly sheds layers of clothing, inspired by Pistoletto’s Venus of the Rags, while a dense white noise undergoes a subtractive synthesis process. As the body reaches nakedness, the chaotic noise dissolves into pure harmonic tonality, revealing the essence of the self.
